WHY OTTCC?
Here at Over The Top Cattle Co. we love three things; family, food, and ranching. We strive to provide our families, and yours, with food raised the way our great-great-grandparents did when they started our family's first cattle ranches more than 150 years ago. This means we treat the land, and our cattle with the respect they deserve. Our cattle are raised regeneratively in pastures where they graze on natural, gmo-free, native grasses, and are produced free from antibiotics and artificial growth hormones. All products are aged 14 days, flash frozen to preserve maximum freshness, and vacuum sealed in convenient packaging. Our 1oo acre ranch is powered entirely by solar and wind, and we continually look for ways to reduce our impact and be resourceful with our energy usage. We feel a deep sense of gratitude for the privilege of providing hard working Canadian families with exceptional quality beef products.
Our Cattle
Here in Ontario we have a diverse landscape and often experience extremes in both temperature and precipitation through out the year. We have chose Charolais and Simmental Cattle as the base breeds for our herd for their adaptability. We prefer these beef breeds as they thrive on pasture and are very hardy to withstand the elements that mother nature throws their way during the harsh winters here in Ontario. These cattle provide a nutrient dense lean meat. Our cattle are kept outdoors which we feel allows for the most natural and healthy environment. The only time our cattle come into the barn is for a short stay in our maternity pens for calving or to re-coup if necessary. They enjoy the many pine forests that surround our ranch to find shelter in. Our pasture season here in Ontario is May - October. We do have to supplement the cattle when fresh green grass is no longer in season. Top quality hay or a grass called sorghum is our forage of choice for the winter months. Our cattle are raised with us from birth to finish, this allows us to maintain high standards of animal care.

About Us
We are the Sutcliffe family. Tyler & Ashley both come from multigenerational family farms with 4+ generations of cattle background. Our families have seen all the changes within the industry over the last 150 years. Nestled in the rolling hills of Manvers township. Our 100 acre ranch is located between the communities of Pontypool & Millbrook right off HWY 115. The entire ranch is completely off the grid and powered by solar and wind only. Tyler was born and raised in Janetville and Ashley in Keene, ON. We now have two children Anna & Tyson. The beef business and tending to livestock is our passion and we hope to continue sharing it with our children. We really enjoy all faucets of the cattle industry. Here at Over The Top Cattle Co. we are much more then just butcher cattle. We have focused immensely on our registered seed stock cattle as well. The top stock we raise annually attends a bull and female sale for other cattle producers to purchase new genetics. We also show our cattle as a hobby both locally at fall fairs and have also competed at the national level successfully as well. This allows for lots of quality family time with our cows. We don't just raise cattle we LIVE cattle!
